Position: acting Professor of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre,
Faculty of Geography and Nature Management.
Education: Graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Kazakh State University named after S.M.
Kirov, in 1981 with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. In 1993 she defended her Ph.D. thesis
in the specialty "Biochemistry", and in 2010 she defended her doctoral dissertation in the
specialty "Geoecology", therefore
academic degree: doctor of geographical sciences, academic title: associate professor in
the specialty "Ecology".
Place of employment: I work at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of KazNU. Al-
Farabi since September 1998, as a senior lecturer, associate professor, and currently as a
professor of the department.
Main scientific interests: ecological problems of the environment, ecological safety of the
natural environment.
Publications over the past 5 years: more than 30 articles and tutorials, including 2
articles in Procedia and Thomson Reuters, 6 articles in Scopus.
Membership: Member of the Kazakh Geographical Society, member of the European Geographical
Society "Eurogeo".
Awards and prizes: Award for the "Best Teacher" for 2013, "Crystal Globe" award of the
Russian Geographical Society in 2019
Scientific supervision: Under my supervision, she defended her dissertation for a PhD in
2015. Musagalieva Aizhan, acting. Associate Professor of the Department of Geography, Land
Management and Cadastre. 2 doctoral students under my supervision graduated from doctoral
studies: Olga Radusnova in 2021 and Zhakypbek Abzal in 2022. Also, every year, the
supervisor of graduation theses for students - bachelors and master's theses.
